M-ION a portable explosives and radioactive material detection system

We met them at the Milipol show in Paris late November, the Russian company TSNK proposes a handheld detector for explosives, narcotics and radioactive materials that gives results after seconds.

The M-ION is a small, very ergonomic detector that weighs only 2.5 kilograms. Several devices can be put into a network in order to display their results in a remote control station.

The M-ION explosive detector is based on the ion mobility spectrometry increment technology. In simple terms – this technology will determine the type of chemical by capturing a change of movement for charged particles in an electric field.
