Egypt buys an IL-76 cargo aircraft in XXL format

The Egyptian Air Force today presented the first photo of an Il-76 MF cargo plane with national colors.

This aircraft, which was purchased from Jordan International Air Cargo (JIAC), is the only model in its category.

The difference between an Il-76 MD (normal) and MF is the addition of 6.6 meters of length to the fuselage and the passage of 40 to 60 tons of load and finally, a new engine M90 instead of the D30 with better thrust.

The aircraft that was acquired from Jordan, the only customer for this model was registered under the serial number JY-JIC and was built in 1995.
